We are a small borough with big ambitions to create resilient, more climate ready places for nature and for people. Focusing our efforts on the network of green and blue spaces across our towns, we want to tackle the challenges of biodiversity loss, climate change, and poor health in our communities. By supporting people to value, connect with and to be better connected to nature, they can experience the health and wellbeing benefits that a thriving local environment can provide, helping to tackle the health inequalities that exist in Torfaen. For nature to flourish we need to improve the condition, connectivity and resilience of our greenspaces. To have the greatest impact we aim to bring all parts of our communities together in strong, diverse partnerships, to work with us in new and innovative ways, learning and collectively finding solutions to support, sustain and fund nature now and in the future.
