Parks 4 All – Transforming access to and saving park heritage with Disabled people and caregivers

Parks 4 All is the only project of its type and aims to make parks accessible for everybody. Our research evidenced Disabled people and unpaid carers (DP&C) are most excluded from accessing park heritage. Parks 4 All was co-developed with DP&C and partners. It will roll-out Park Access Assessments and a supporting Toolkit enabling thousands of parks volunteers and Disabled people to take ownership. Benefits will be evidenced by making capital changes in parks whist encouraging people to get involved with saving and enhancing parks through sensory walks and nature-based volunteering. In addition parks volunteers will be fully supported to host inclusive activities, and with their fundraising. We will enable more people to engage with the Climate and Ecological Emergencies. Parks 4 All will address DP&C’s needs. Communities nationwide will take the lead on making parks accessible and nature rich, leading to a permanent improvement now and in future.
