Paths to Inclusion

Paths to Inclusion is a new initiative that aims to address information barriers preventing people from experiencing National Trails. The project explores how NTUK can work with our National Trails, partners and diverse communities to co-design and deliver inclusive and accessible content, assets and information which empowers people from minoritised ethnic communities and disabled people (two of the four DEFRA key target groups) to visit these extraordinary routes to our shared heritage. This project will centralise research and development into learning from the information and communication needs of our target audiences; audit knowledge and capacity within National Trails to meet these needs; test approaches through co-designed pilots; formulate recommendations and develop a scalable and shareable delivery model. When complete, we will have identified actionable solutions to inform implementation of a future marcomms strategy, and a blueprint methodology that can be shared with the wider sector.
