Nature And Landscape
This integrated nature and accessibility project will transform Plantlife's approach to inclusion. As a UK conservation charity, we recognise the urgent need to address unequal access to high quality natural heritage. Focused on our Three Hagges Woodmeadow Nature Reserve in North Yorkshire, we will improve physical accessibility to nature on the reserve for people with disabilities. Through this project, we will also work with those with lived experience to test and refine new ways of working with volunteers, and visitors to make our reserves more welcoming and inclusive. The lessons we learn will shape how Plantlife engages people across our key nature reserves and will be shared to support wider change in the conservation sector. Outcomes: More people connect with nature through improved access, interpretation, and biodiversity at Three Hagges Woodmeadow. Plantlife builds the skills and understanding needed to better involve diverse audiences in volunteering and nature-based activities.
