Through Peshkar 35 Years: Creative Heritage, Digital Futures, we aim to preserve, celebrate and share four decades of creative heritage shaped by diverse communities in Oldham and beyond. Our vision is to protect at-risk archives, stories and artefacts that capture the voices of young people, artists and audiences who have defined Peshkar’s journey since 1986. By digitising collections, recording new oral histories and co-creating exhibitions with local people, we will connect generations through creativity and culture. The project will ensure that Peshkar’s pioneering legacy in intercultural arts remains accessible, relevant and inspiring for future communities, artists and educators.
