RASOI - THE KITCHEN

We want to preserve and celebrate South Asian food heritage by creating a recipe book that is as much about memory and story as it is about cooking. Food holds the voices of our ancestors, the rhythms of migration and the joy of sharing across generations. Each recipe will be paired with a poem, story or fragment of history, creating a multi-sensory archive where taste and tradition intertwine. These elements will bring to life cultural memories that risk being forgotten, passing them on in new and engaging ways. The book will be both practical and symbolic: printed copies for use in kitchens, libraries and community spaces, and a digital version, accessible worldwide via QR codes and web links. Together, these resources will connect people to heritage in inclusive, accessible ways, ensuring these traditions continue to nourish communities for generations to come.
