Reconnecting Bernwood, Otmoor and the Ray reconnects heritage, nature and people through river restoration, habitat creation, landowner and community engagement, securing Ray valley as a nationally important wetland complex, with accessible greenspaces for the wellbeing of local people. Growing Capacity and Sustainability upskills and grows the number of people involved in nature and heritage. Nature Recovery at Landscape Scale restores and creates habitat to tackle fragmentation, revive threatened species, and enhance communities. Connecting People, Nature and Heritage engages communities to strengthen social bonds and develop new skills in nature and heritage. Inclusive Custodianship of Greenspaces balances the needs of people and wildlife and improves accessibility and usability. Thirteen integrated projects work holistically to reinvigorate cultural and natural heritage, supporting environmental, social and economic development. Landscape habitat improvements strengthen the wildlife value of the area and enhance stepping stones for species, increasing access to nature for the growing population, at scale.
