Culture And Memory
We want to use our long standing expertise in community history to help groups across Scotland gain the confidence, skills and support to run their own heritage projects. The Living Memory Association is regularly approached by groups and organisations wanting to run projects to save local heritage and memories. They often lack confidence and knowledge of how to make an application, run a heritage project, what resources and training are available, how to undertake recordings, reach those they want to interview, make their project inclusive and make the collected material accessible to all. We will offer training, use of shared resources, support to apply for and manage funds, support with social media, cross generational work and provision of high profile exhibition space and publicity. This project will build both the sustainability of the LMA and that of the groups we support and build the capacity of others to save heritage.
