Reviving Heritage: Living Skills for a Sustainable Future

Options in Life runs a social inclusion and skills development programme for isolated adults (aged 18-30) with learning disabilities in Fife. Our mission is to support our beneficiary’s participation in society and to help them shape a meaningful and fulfilling life by facilitating access to positive and productive experiences. In line with our Charity’s mission, the primary objective of our "Reviving Heritage: Living Skills for a Sustainable Future" project, is to create a more accessible heritage opportunity, specifically designed for people with learning disabilities. People with learning disabilities are less likely to benefit from heritage experiences and this project will remove barriers to their participation, making heritage more inclusive and open to diverse groups. This project will have a lasting impact on the participants, equipping them with valuable skills, fostering a sense of belonging, and ensuring that Scotland’s heritage remains vibrant and accessible for future generations.
