Our project will explore the 25 year heritage of Building Bridges in Burnley (BBB) alongside the heritage of our Grade II listed building British Legion Club (known as Canalside). The project’s achievements will be: -Community heritage is preserved through research, recordings, documentation and archiving -Our heritage building is opened up to local people and regains a place at the heart of our community -Communities feel connected to heritage through exploring, understanding and celebrating it through creative projects -Our organisation is more sustainable through training, partnerships and mentoring in business development. The legacy of this project will be: -A community building where local people feel connected, engaged and empowered -Long term, trusted relationships with local communities -A digital archive of documents, memorabilia, photographs and films which will be accessible in our building, online and at Lancashire Archives -A sustainable organisation that is ready for the future.
