Culture And Memory
RHP wishes to build on its very successful Living History Project. we modernised the exhibition at the Cardinal Ó Fiaich Heritage centre creating heritage hub, created awareness of local archaeological sites. This project has been a catalyst for opening dialogue among local and wider community on the need to preserve the rich heritage and culture we have. Building on this momentum. We now want to create a strong framework for rural heritage, and traditions to thrive sustainably in South Armagh. As well as the archaeological sites, the area has a range of unique rich heritage features, like barrows, mounds, pillar stones, ancient trackways, ramparts, and field boundaries Therefore we want to support the wider rural community, local farm families and individuals, to have a better understanding of the importance off and how to maintain /sustain these sites and features and the associated heritage, crafts and farming traditions of this area.
