Culture And Memory
Through this project we would like to: Protect heritage in the form of the stories and experiences of Womxn of Irish Heritage in the North of England (WIH). Present heritage in innovative, engaging, and accessible forms through community exhibitions and the creation of an online contemporary digital art experience which will act as a digital archive. Engage Irish diaspora communities based in the North of England in the co-creation of these exhibitions and this online experience. Collaborate with relevant partners working towards shared goals to protect and explore Irish heritage, particularly from womxn’s perspectives. Raise the voices of womxn involved and their predecessors through sharing the outcomes of the project with a wide audience beyond the immediate community - relating with anyone who feels a connection to another land and those who have been affected by displacement of any kind.
