Storytellers Start Here (SSH) marks 70 years of the National Youth Theatre (NYT) through activating its ground-breaking legacy of youth development, leadership and storytelling for today. We will work with 100s of young volunteers to: Share: Engage 10000s in NYT legacy for the first time within and beyond current networks through: dedicated digital platform and crowd-sourced living archive, on-site displays and interpretation, live performances, new creative work and sharing learning resources Explore: Place young people in the lead in investigating stories from NYT heritage that connect relevance for today through archive digitisation and interpretation Revitalise: Collect 70 new oral histories, create a living archive through 1000s of community contributions and use digital/AI tools to activate historic stories, film and images - bringing to life inaccessible/at risk heritage for future generations Sustain: Create permanent platforms and management policies for NYT heritage and sustain activities through aligned partnership building and income generation
