Tall Ships Races 2025 : Sailing Through History - Engaging Schools, Families and Tall Ships visitors in Aberdeen’s Maritime Heritage" An educational programme bringing Aberdeen’s maritime history to life and its relevance to the Sea Cadets of today

The Sea Cadets-Aberdeen aims to inspire children, families and the wider community by bringing the maritime heritage of the Tall Ships to life when the Tall Ships Races come to Aberdeen in July 2025. 400,000 visitors are expected. With the support of the Aberdeen Line 200 Committee we want to create the following. - an educational display at the Tall Ships event which will describe the maritime heritage of Aberdeen. - a contribution to the City Council's 'treasure pack' for Aberdeen's primary schools, specifically live lessons; and digital and printed copies of a heritage trail describing the history of Aberdeen's Tall Ships. - a tea heritage trail describing the historical links between Aberdeen and the global tea trade. - a Tall Ships tea blend comprising Scottish tea and tea from the mountains which historically travelled on tea clippers from China to Britain.
