The Armed Services: Huddersfield Forgotten Windrush Heroes.

Kirklees Local Television will produce a ninety-minute digital documentary, Forgotten Heroes, with a digital educational learning resource, Huddersfield Windrush Veterans: They Served with Honour,” for schools. The central narrative of the resources is to recognise and celebrate African Caribbean British Windrush generation veterans (ACBWGV) from Huddersfield West Yorkshire who signed up for the British Armed Services and served their Queen and their country between the 1950s and 1980s. Forgotten Heroes are important to British social, cultural, and historical records. Moreover, valuing and recognising Huddersfield's heritage, cultural contributions, and military service of (ACBWGV) to the British Armed Services is imperative. The resources pay tribute to their bravery and seamlessly educate broader local and national communities, historians, libraries, and museums, celebrating the intersectionality of British military history, social-cultural history, and heritage of (ACBWGV).
