The Discover Children's Story Centre Big 21st Birthday Bash!
We will achieve: - Creating a show and workshop for Newham's primary school children focusing on the creation and legacy of Discover Children's Story Centre. This building was repurposed and developed by community members and is now a cultural landmark for children and families. It will be produced for Newham Heritage Month. - Inspiring Newham's young generation to respect, engage in and positively impact heritage & consider how they can reuse spaces. - Engaging a range of volunteers. - Engaging a wider range of people in heritage by targeting our project to schools. - Organisational growth by learning from a history specialist who will create digital archives. - Creating work opportunities within the arts and heritage sector. - Building on our connection with Newham Borough. - Promoting local interest in heritage by creating digital archives. - Reducing our environmental impact. - Involving children in the creation of this project.
