The Forgotten Dead

Our organisation aims to create an immersive, multidisciplinary arts experience that reflects on Gravesend’s rich maritime history and engages the community in meaningful ways. Through this project, "The Forgotten Dead,”, we seek to commemorate the tragedy of the crash and subsequent sinking of The Princess Alice, and its historical significance. By collaborating with local community groups, young people, and diverse audiences, we aspire to produce evocative sculptures, immersive performances, large-scale installations, and soundscapes. Our goal is to foster a deeper appreciation of local heritage, support artistic expression, and ensure the stories and voices of Gravesend's past are preserved and shared. Additionally, we aim to promote environmental awareness & sustainability through the use of recycled materials and eco-friendly practices. Ultimately, we strive to create a powerful cultural event that resonates with residents and visitors alike, enriching the community's connection to its history and environment.
