Culture And Memory
We will collaborate with the existing community rugby league clubs in and around Bradford, as well as with individuals linked to now-defunct clubs, to chronicle the history of amateur Rugby league from 1895 to today. The project's goal is to create mini virtual museums that exhibit the histories of these clubs, both past and present. In addition, we will engage with both current and past members of defunct rugby league clubs. Our research will involve interviews with active members and relatives of former and current members. The objective is to develop a rugby league roadshow that the entire Bradford community can access, offering local historical insights into the City's rugby league and highlighting the participants' significant contributions to its narrative. By promoting a sense of ownership among all involved, we aim to solidify the partnership between the Bulls Foundation and our community club partners further.
