The Lyric Heritage Project: Celebrating Culture, Community and Creativity

This legacy project aims to research, conserve, digitise and improve public awareness of physical and oral archives of the Lyric Theatre, a cultural beacon of Northern Ireland, bringing this significant legacy to life through digital storytelling and a programme of work. Specifically the project aims to: Preserve and protect physical archives, from scripts to costumes, ensuring they are properly catalogued and accessible; and to conserve our oral histories through digital storytelling and testimonials, in order to safeguard tangible and intangible heritage. Capture and make this heritage accessible through launch of a heritage website, and programme of work. This will allow both a local and a global audience to engage with our history in a meaningful way. Strengthen our connection with the community by engaging audiences through call-outs, events and public exhibitions, to foster community engagement and inspire future generations to appreciate and preserve our cultural heritage.
