Nature And Landscape
We aim to develop the garden of Ysgubor Fawr at St. Fagans and make it accessible and open for all, to make it a springboard for people with learning disabilities to be involved and learn and understand more about the heritage of Wales. We want to develop the garden further by making new heritage beds to grow vegetables and plants similar to those grown by the families who lived there. We aim to improve the biodiversity of the site by increasing the range of plants grown and the planting of hedges for shelter so that it can attract and retain more wildlife. We intend to carry out further research into the history of Ysgubor Fawr. This will include researching into the families who lived there, what work they did, how they lived, what the garden looked like, what was grown in the garden and how it was used.
