Nature And Landscape
CPRE is a charity that is passionate about making the countryside a better place for everyone to live, work and enjoy. It will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026. To coincide with this anniversary, our ambition is to deliver a Liverpool City Region (LCR) Walking and Cycling Ringway trail which will cover the existing natural environment of the six authorities that make up the LCR. Before a full bid for the project is submitted, CPRE wish to undertake a six-month Research & Development process. This will result in a comprehensive feasibility study whose findings will help us get to the next stage of work to implement and deliver the LCR Walking and Cycling Ringway. It will also ensure that we can meet our objective of opening up the landscape to increase the number of people who walk and cycle in the region in the most impactful, inclusive and sustainable way.
