To discover and record the lives of those who dies in WW1 as listed on the Sawston War Memorial
Sawston Youth Group wants to discover and record the lives of those who died in WW1 as listed on the Sawston War Memorial. There are 45 names listed and very little locally is known about any of them. This would be undertaken by young people aged 14yrs to 20yrs led by a team of volunteers. The project has support from both the Parish Council and the local branch of the Royal British Legion. The group plans to undertake some fund raising events to support this project along with support from a local charity.
