TPT - Preserving the Past, Enriching the Future

Our organisation aims to strengthen and secure the future of the Trans Pennine Trail as a nationally recognised, inclusive route for walking, cycling, wheeling and horse riding. Through this project we want to build the capacity of the TPT National Office, enabling us to better manage, promote and protect the Trail’s natural, built and social heritage. The project will improve accessibility, expand public, educational and digital engagement, and raise awareness of environmental sustainability and climate change. By investing in staff capacity, partnerships and digital infrastructure, we aim to create a more resilient organisation and a well-managed, welcoming Trail. The long-term legacy will be a healthier, more connected, and sustainable green corridor that benefits communities now and safeguards the Trail for future generations.
