We want to breathe life into the iconic heritage Grade 11 Listed building of the Goods Shed, making it fully weatherproof, watertight and available for our community to engage with Llanelli’s industrial heritage that people value and want to pass on to future generations. Focusing on volunteering, heritage, and creating a thriving community hub by transforming the Goods Shed into a flagship social enterprise addressing social, economic, environmental and cultural issues. Distinct elements include: • Heritage Centre focusing on the railway and industrial history of Llanelli; aiming to engage local people and visitors from outside the local area with the rich industrial history of Llanelli • Offices and outdoor space for social enterprises to enhance training and employment opportunities • Multipurpose spaces for community and cultural events, creating a dynamic community hub • Community Café offering volunteering and upskilling opportunities for people; acting as the welcoming point for visitors
