Nature And Landscape
Belfast Photo Festival will foster creativity, meaningful connections, exhibitions, lasting public engagement and impact around vital Natural Heritage themes of Northern Ireland. We have co-designed and will collaborate with the National Trust, Belfast Hills Partnership, AFBI, Ulster Wildlife, An-Creagan and Queen’s University Belfast. Four Northern Irish photographers will address a crucial gap in imagery and awareness by working with diverse community groups in both urban and rural landscapes. Responding to briefs from our experts, the narratives and co-curated images will be showcased and discussed at exhibitions and events within our festival in June 2025 under the themes of: BELFAST HILLS, DIVAS AND THE BLACK MOUNTAIN. MARINE AND COASTAL COMMUNITIES. PEATLAND, BOGS, AND TEMPERATE RAINFORESTS. LOUGH NEAGH. Our legacy will be community led photography products and over 500 digital images within open-access image library. All free for use by educators, campaigners, and media, providing valuable communication and advocacy tools for everyone.
