Through the "Vogue" project, the Manchester Youth Empowerment Club aims to preserve and invigorate Yoruba cultural heritage among young Nigerians in Manchester. We plan to create a documentary and host a series of workshops that explore Yoruba fashion, dance, and traditions. This initiative will strengthen community ties and enhance cultural understanding among youth, ensuring that these rich traditions thrive for future generations. We envision the project leaving a lasting impact by establishing a valuable cultural resource, promoting skills development, and increasing participation in heritage activities. Our commitment aligns with the Heritage Lottery Fund's principles of saving heritage, promoting inclusion, and ensuring sustainability.
