Nature And Landscape

West of England Nature Trail

Our project will have three stands of activity, engaging audiences that face barriers to accessing natural heritage: - Supporting a new Youth Council (aged 16-24), to curate two events for other young people - In-person and digital activities for Disabled adults - A designated day to support communities to explore and celebrate their natural heritage by collaborating with volunteer-led groups embedded within local communities We will build on recent, collaborative pilot work to develop and deliver engaging, high-profile events with and for audiences across the West of England in June 2024. We will work closely with Avon Wildlife Trust to ensure the project leads to further environmental action through peer-to-peer support activities. As a result of our project, participants from our three key audiences will be better connected with nature in the region, increasing their capacity to protect it. Our charity will build our capacity to expand this work further.
