Whitehead Gardens Improvement and Education Project
Whitehead Gardens is a green space at the heart of Tottington, Bury. We want to improve the space so that we bring it back in to use for the community. We will tackle the physical and environmental concerns that deter visitors, and make the site more accessible, welcoming, and colourful. We are also eager to share the story and heritage of the site much more widely, so more people know why the garden is significant. The project will provide a much-needed community space that works as both a calm and pleasant space for reflection, and an exciting and busy performance space for family events too. We want people to enjoy, understand, connect with, and value the garden much more so it will be safeguarded for future generations.
