World Cultural & Diversity Day WCDD 2.0 - Promoting the Intangible Heritages' via Music and Food

Our organisation hopes to achieve the delivery of the showcasing of different heritages from the local community with the wider community members, with the view that this will foster continued peaceful coexistence and improves overall sustainable development. This project came up, is inline with the UNESCO"s declaration on the adoption of cultural diversity every May worldwide. Our service delivery spans over areas in the G51 postcodes such as; Ibrox, Govan, Linthouse and Elder Park which are some of the most diverse areas in Glasgow, as an organisation we have seen the impacts of the project on the members of the host community and the New Scots and is of the view that this project will further promote peaceful communal co-existence, an opportunity to learn about other cultures beyond the information from the press as well as promoting to kids born in Scotland to know about the heritages of their parents.
